New CamelBak Linchpin™ Focuses on Speed and Versatility
01.19.10
Las Vegas, NV – CamelBak® announces the Linchpin™ as part of its Maximum® Gear line for 2010. Utilizing a 100 oz (3L) reservoir, and cargo capacity of 1,850 cubic inches, the Linchpin fits perfectly between the legendary CamelBak H.A.W.G.® and Motherlode™ of the Maximum Gear line. Linchpin is the most versatile hydration pack for all-day missions and features the Futura Harness by Mystery Ranch which allows the user to custom fit the harness to their specific torso height and make adjustments for wearing with or without armor.
Perfect for warfighters on all-day missions, this pack features multiple external pockets including side pockets designed to carry up to three M16 magazines each, glasses or goggle pocket, compressible overflow storage, outer flat map pocket, and internal organization pocket. Other features include under-arm tube routing, dual antenna ports, top grab handle, and a hook-and-loop panel for the hassle-free removal of nametags and unit badges.
Given all the gear a warfighter carries, CamelBak helps lighten the load by using lightweight and durable 500D Cordura® material, which has a tighter weave and is 35% lighter than standard 1000D Cordura® – making this the most versatile tactical pack for carrying ammunition, cargo, and hydration.
Linchpin is a fully integrated hydration system featuring the key elements CamelBak is known for, such as the HydroLink™ Big Bite™ Valve, HydroGuard™ technology for easy cleaning, and HydroLock™ for secure shut off. Along with a separate insulated hydration compartment, complete with reservoir hang loop, the Linchpin offers a premium hydration pack with Futura Harness in a multipurpose size.
Available in May, 2010, the Linchpin measures 19.5 x 18 x 14.5 inches and comes in three colors: Army Universal Camo, Coyote or MultiCam. Available on GSA contract GS07F-9727H, at Exchanges, and all usual CamelBak Maximum® Gear distribution outlets.
