Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stupid design for drawstring I recently bought this cover to protect my camelbak mule from the muddy route I take on my daily commute, the cover aspect works great, keeping my pack bone dry, with the added benefit of the fluorescent yellow colour helping me to stand out that bit extra in the dark weather. However, there is a major flaw with this product that, for me at least, makes it completely unusable, and that is that the drawstring button to tighten the cover around the pack is located, for some stupid reason at the bottom of the pack, meaning that when you tighten it, the button ends up half way up your back, directly over your spine, which with a pack full of water and gear, presses down onto your spine and makes the whole thing super uncomfortable to wear. I find I am having to constantly readjust the pack to relieve the pressure on my spine and that is only on the short rides, I ended up removing the cover entirely on a 4 hour ride recently it was that uncomfortable. Honestly, I’d save your money and spend it elsewhere. I have a cover for my northface backback that secures with a drawstring from the top, and that works perfectly. TLDR; drawstring button sits is located at bottom so when pack is fully loaded, pushes down on spine making the whole thing unbearably uncomfortable to wear. Camelbak, I’d love to hear your feedback on this issue if you have any!
