Depending on the type of activity will determine how you often wanna hydrate during that activity. So if it's long sustained activity, we have access to fluids then taking smaller amounts more often is better than trying to chug it because your stomach will be happier with smaller amounts throughout the activity. But if it's like halftime of a soccer game, we only have that 15 minutes to drink, and then you may be going out for the second half and maybe overtime, you have to be more efficient at drinking large volumes in smaller time periods. But you wanna train your body to get used to that. You wanna, during many practice sessions, get used to drinking like that, so that your body is ready for it during the game situation.
