Rated 1 out of 5 by John Redcorn from Cool features, fails for intended use The water tube doesn’t fit in the clip, huge deal. Broke the first one defected back to Amazon. No effective means of securing water tube on the fly. They actually make a magnetic clip, only comes with giant pack. FAIL. Full reservoir sucks to get into pouch. Good luck getting all the air out of it if u fill it while it’s in the pack. Reservoir cap cross threads easily and is difficult to open at the end of the ride. Cool pockets, nice evening visibility. Looking for a way to swap water tube holder for one that fits... really don’t want to spend $15 for the magnetic clip to make this $70 pack functional for mountain biking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tushka Lusa from Great bag and Water Pouch I try a different Hydro pouch before coming back to CamelBak. I used this company Products in the Marine Corps and didn't have any problems. I Tried a cheaper brand and man did it disappoint me. While riding my Motorcycle it leaked Bad and made me go get the Rogue. I have been Pleased, it's comfort is great with the added storage. I put my Meds /1st aid items in top pouch and mini survival kit in the lower pouch. I seen where someone stated no room for a iPhone, But my iPhone 7 in a Pelican Waterproof case fits find. Also as I ride my moto, I don't get a wet spot on my lower back like the cheaper Hydro brand! Semper Fi

Rated 2 out of 5 by Johnathon from changes not necessary totally agree with Kyle: For one, the bottom pocket has been made smaller. The net inside the pocket was previously one net, and could be used to keep a cellphone or wallet secure. Now the two separate pockets are both too small to fit an iPhone or wallet, and have been made all but useless. What were they thinking??

Rated 4 out of 5 by Eric T from Sort of nice improvement Been using camelbaks since they were introduced. The idea to increase capacity to 85oz was a huge plus for me. The redesign not so much. The bladder cap is always a hit or miss screw on. You have to get it just perfect in order to thread. The handle does make it a bit easier to hold but it could’ve been a tad longer. How the pack holds on to the bladder could stand to be less precarious and cleaner looking once secured. Had the ability to use a different size bladder like the 70oz would have been nice but the hable securing is not universal. Overall a decent minimalist pack. Decent water capacity and just enough tools to get you back. I also use the 100oz ratchet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by linda from Needs work I agree with Kyle's well written review. I've used a number of Camelbak products for many years. Most of these "updates" are not improvements. For the price it's very surprising that the Crux reservoir supplied with this pack doesn't have the quick on/off valve. The elastic strap to hold the reservoir won't last long and is annoying. The velcro on previous packs worked great. Not being able to secure the adjustable straps is disappointing. The new Crux reservoir with the longer handle won't fit my other Camelbak packs, although it is easier to hold when filling. The cover that screws closed works well, this is an improvement. Another consideration is that previous dryers don't work with the Crux. Instead of purchasing yet another accessory, we fashioned a dryer from a coat hanger. Despite purchasing this pack on sale in lime punch for visibility when cycling I'm going to return it and will watch for an improved product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MTB in AZ from Old Rogue is now Velocity at Dick's Sporting Goods If you like the old Rogue, you can still buy it under the name Velocity at Dick's sporting goods (70oz capacity). Exact same product, different name. I just bought it on sale for $39.95. (this is my second one since I like them so much)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pong from Cannot sip water when used on my cyclocross Bought this as this has more storage space than classic, but smaller than rachet or lobo. Havnt used yet on my fullsus.. but when i use this on my cx, where i keep my position on the hoods most of the time. Most of the time i have to stop to fix the water bladder as most of the time the bottom of the bladder became squeezed, blocking the water port. That sucks, my dueter 30L super bike ex doesnt have this problem. Though i bought this for short trail ride, i want something lighter and more low profile than my dueter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aitanao from Exceeded My Expectations I haven’t used it yet! That’s the only reason I’m giving it a 4 star rating. I have another camelbak that served me well so I have no doubt this one will too.. But I must say, it’s awesome. The color is super cool and the material seems like it’ll be easy to clean if it gets dirty. I plan on taking it with me to the next time I go to a festival or on a run. The compartments are a decent size. It has enough space to hold a portable charger, a small roll of toilet paper or wipes, keys, chapstick, tampons, wallet, a small flashlight, gum, a small tube for pills, headphones, etc.
