Rated 5 out of 5 by Craiggers from Hydration Pack DOES have a hook I just got this and am very pleasantly surprised. There was a review on here saying that there is no hook for the water reservoir, this is true and not true. There is no hook at the top like previous designs. There is, however, a hook at the bottom of the area you fill it, which has a special spot in the pack to hook into so it doesn't fall to the bottom. I am including pictures. This fits great, and has a ton of space for extra things. My one issue so far is the fact that the waist belt pockets are pretty far to the back. Wish they were closer to the front. I will update in case I experience any leaks like previous reviewers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rgl1951 from Awesome but.... This beautifully made pack is exactly what I was seeking for my hiking in the desert. There is a large pocket to stuff trash I find into so I can carry it out and tons of more space for camera, phone, snake bite kit, first aid kit, food etc. The one issue I have with the pack is the load bearing hip belt cargo section is very small and not long enough to have the cargo compartment on my hip. It is more towards my back making access to it difficult. The belt itself is plenty long enough but the location of the cargo area isn't placed far enough forward on the hip belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by woody from The do it all CamelBack Been around the world twice, I'm in the Army. I have a CamelBak for work and play. They have both stood the test of time and I continue to use them and always will. Quality, fit and they way it can adapt to any of my situations, makes this product out last any others I have ever had. I mountain bike , hike trail ride my RMZ and compete in several Iron man type of events each year. The bag has been with me on all on my adventures. My Army CamelBak, it just an extension of what I represent. The strength and commitment to my country. I use it everyday and on every mission, CONUS or OCONUS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kodiak from Camelbak truely has your bak I bought a older model camelbak, new, 3 and a half years ago. It saw every day use and was put threw the ringer its whole life. The strap finally ripped and true to their guarantee, replaced the pack with a brand new updated bag. It was an amazing back, with amazing features that had an amazing lifetime warranty. Camelbak has me for life now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by kayrenee4 from Comfortable for a petite frame I was searching for day packs for a while but was having trouble finding one that fit me comfortably. I am a 5 foot nothing girl so everything was was too big for my frame. I have had this pack for about a year and a half now, I have taken this on multiple day hikes and it's comfortable on my shoulders and under my arms. I have had other packs that rub and chafe my underarms. It doesn't sit on the shelf of my bottom like others have, so there is no gap between the strap and my shoulders. It's a great size to hold all the essentials for the day. The bladder is a good size, but I do plan to purchase a larger one for some longer, more strenuous hikes I have planned. So far there are no complaints and I am very happy with this pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick H from Perfect Day Hike Pack I recently bought this pack before a weekend trip to Yosemite and it was perfect for day hikes. Went on two hikes (one 6 miles and another 11 miles) and it was able to handle both perfectly. Never felt uncomfortable and the newly designed mouth piece is really easy to use. The quality feels good and I don't see any potential areas of weakness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Driver No 1 from Rim Runner 22 The older Rim Runner I replaced (20 years old) seemed to be sturdier It had elastic across the front of pack to hold items like a jacket or map. This one has no elastic and if you wanted to buy your own, the "tie down " points are very flimsy. (and ugly). The hip belt is an improvement and the water bladder is a better design. For the price I am not sure I could recommend this product to a friend. Maybe after some hard use I might grow to like this pack better. Ask me again in a year.
