Rated 2 out of 5 by kellie from Worked the same as a regular bladder. Just returned from summiting Kilimanjaro and bought this insulated bladder because I read reviews that it worked wonders. Didn't find that to be true for myself. There is a gap in the insulation cover between the end of the hose and the bite valve so my hose and water ended up freezing over just like everyone else in my group who had a regular hydration bladder. Disappointed because I blew back my water each time I drank and ended up not being able to drink water for about 5 hours until the sun rose. I don't know if the one I have is defected, but I was extremely disappointed that the insulated sleeve didn't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tovodeverett from Best Stoaway so far! I've had three Stoaway so far. My oldest is 20+ years old and is being retired (it's beginning to leak, it doesn't have a guard for the mouthpiece, etc.). The second one is roughly 10 years old and still going strong, but as my kids get older I needed a third. This one is awesome! I love the independence of the bladder from the insulating sleeve - it makes it safer to refill (less risk of getting the insulation wet) and easier to see how full it is (especially when filtering water). Also, if I don't need the insulation, I don't have to carry it. That said, I like my water cold in the summer (especially with ice from home), so having the insulation with me is worth the weight! I love the disconnectable hose - this makes cleaning easier, especially getting the last bit of water out of the hose when putting it away. Finally, I love that I can route the hose inside the insulating sleeve for winter and outside for summer (faster to reconnect, more independence is hose routing for a little extra length, etc.). The cons are that it's a little big, but there's little weight penalty for 100 oz vs. the old 70 oz one, and having the additional capacity is valuable when I need it. I just need to be more disciplined about deciding how much of that capacity to use. My boys have voted - I'm ordering another!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jolii from Perfect for my needs! Able to take out and use the inside water pouch for hiking in the summer, and the insulated pouch for snowboarding in the winter. So much value! Very happy with my purchase
