Rated 1 out of 5 by Sven from redesigned closer a failure! the new Cap closure system is way too tight when opening or closing. I assumed it was just the two bottles I bought at the LBS, so 2 replacement caps were mailed to me under warranty. They are even worse. They're so tight that, when moving the dial to open while in the cage, the whole cap unscrews, plus they are also very uncomfortable to turn. If I leave it in the open position, the valve leaks from road vibration when the bottle is full. I'm guessing no one ever field tested the new version.I happily switched years ago to Camelbak and ride about 600 miles a month. The rest of the upgrades were on track, but the cap is a deal breaker. Time to find a different option .

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ben M from Hard to squeeze. Downgrade from old version. Let me start by saying that I've been a long time user of the older Podium Chill bottles. They've been the best bottle I've used for a while. I was excited to see the new version. I think the new version looks great and it's nice that they can be cleaned. However, the basic functionality of the bottle is a significant downgrade. They are much stiffer and it's almost impossible to squeeze the same amount of water as with the old bottles. I'll be buying a few of the old versions while I can. Hope they do a quick redesign of this new version.

Rated 1 out of 5 by YThibo from New hard bottle Hi, I already got 3 podium bottle 2018. I love Camelbak trust me, but my goal is really to explain my experience with this product to try help you with this new bottle. I add water and when I press just under the CamelBak logo, where the part is smaller, I received a small amount of water and it was hard for my wrist! I got more water in the bottom, mais during road biking, I can't take the bottle so down. I can take triple water in one shot with my older 2018. I don't know how your product have been test, but something is wrong. I use water bottle since i'm 4 years old in my sports since 35 years (hockey, baseball, dragon boat, golf, road bike) and it's the first time I can't get enough water from the bottle. Have a nice day, Sorry for my english.

Rated 3 out of 5 by drinkbottlelover from BRING BACK THE 2018 I am obsessed with my 2018 style podium chill, I cannot go a day without it. It had the perfect ratio between size, weight, mouth feel, and drinkability. You can easily chug a decent amount of water by squeezing the bottle when your training and dying of thirst. HOWEVER, this new update is not the same! It is hard to squeeze and rotate the lock on the top making it more difficult to drink quickly while your playing sport or training. The mouth piece is much harder on your teeth and difficult to grip onto or chew leaving for an unsatisfying mouthfeel. I was so upset to see a change in my all time favorite drink bottle when I went to the store and not to mention the ugly colorway selection. The lid looks sleek but the colours and patterns are very sub-par. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL!

Rated 1 out of 5 by RoadRider7 from Disappointed Very disappointed in this product as I have been a avid Camelbak user for years. I race my road bike and depend on quick trips to the bottle for safety. These bottles are very difficult to squeeze and not a safe option to be able to grab that quick drink when the race is on. They are also more slick than previous iterations of this bottle and was concerned about losing bottles over rough roads. Trying to hit up Amazon for previous years models.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bottle Reviewer from Looks Great -- Doesn't Operate Like Older Version While the color was what I was going for, the Podium version simply does not allow as much liquid to be squeezed into your mouth as the previous version of Camelbak's water bottles. In fact, about HALF as much! So it's frustrating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dwmeganbob from This is worse then New Coke! Like many others here, I've been a long-time customer for good reason - Camelbak bottles have always worked great. The new design is terrible. The top valve does not work for cycling when the bottle is in a cage. The new valve configuration is big and clumsy with loose parts that doesnt make cleaning any easier, in fact I find it easier to clean all of my older style valves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DrRising from Horrible fit.... definitely a downgrade The new bottle DOES NOT fit better in cages. It's significantly narrower than the old bottle and rattles around in my bottle cage. It WILL fall out. I purchased two of these and am returning both. Please bring back the old bottles!!!! To second what others have said....the squeezability of this bottle is worse as well.
