Rated 5 out of 5 by Alex from Perfect for my little guy We have had the Mini M.U.L.E for about 4 or 5 years now. It has held up for him. He has been biking since 2 and hiking since 3. This is the perfect size for ages 2 1/2 and up. My son is currently 8 and he still uses it. I am acutally going to upgrade him to the Scout in the next few months, as he needs more storage for shed layers and his hikes are getting longer. He has taken the MULE everywhere from riding bikes, camping, hikes, disneyland, the beach, even baseball and soccer practice. It was a very good investment. We wish it had more storage as he is now older. But it fit our needs for the past 4 years. He can carry a lot in the mule. He carries a full first aid kit, flashlight, whistle, 3 cliff bars, 2 fruit leathers, and whatever "treasures" he finds on our hikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jalley99 from It leaked at first but I fixed it Ok so I bought this bag not knowing it was for kids. Im a really skinny 18 y/o and it fits me fine. It’s good if you just want a small bag. When I brought it home and filled it with water the thing started leaking right away and I was worried it was broken. So for a good 30min I experimented to see where it was leaking from and if I could fix it. And I found that the blue plastic ring that’s suppose to go under the screw lock thing when you close it was causing it to leak and if I screwed the thing on without it, it didn’t leak anymore. So if your bag is leaking don’t automatically assume the worst, see if yours has this stupid blue ring. You’re able to take it off with a little force so its not just dangling everywhere. I’ve had this thing for a couple days and it hasn’t leaked since. It’s really cool, actually has more space than it looks like it should have. I’m excited to take it to camp in the summer

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mommyhiker from Perfect for Littles This pack is the perfect size for kids. My 5 yro has enough extra space for her camera and a granola bar (could hold more) and my 2 yro carries her extra pull up and wipes with room to spare. This is so great for hiking. My 2 yro chewed the nipple up within minutes but we were able to take that off and she could use it fine. No drips when turned to off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SoCalMom from Great features, but leaked with first use We purchased this adorable pack in Zion. My daughter loved the design, safety whistle, three pockets and chest strap. However, with the first 4 mile hike, it leaked! Very frustrated parent and child. We re-sealed over and over and any time pressure was applied to the pack (bending down to play or investigate), the pack leaked at the top seal, leading to a wet pack, wet back, and upset child. Fortunately we went back to the shop and they switched bladders with us no questions asked. So far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kirstyn from Love the Mini Mule! I have now bought 2 of these for my very active nieces. They LOVE them! They have been used for biking, kayaking, hiking, walking around Disneyland and more. Decent additional storage for snacks and other little things. Nice colors too. Makes keeping kids hydrated easier and more fun for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pari26 from This fits my 6 year old perfectly we fill it with water and some ice. He also can fit his cellphone (I use to keep track of him when he's biking in our neighborhood) a wallet (so he can feel like a big kid) and some spare clothes. The fit is perfect and its' not too heavy. quality materials!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizzy from great little pack! I'm a petite older female and wanted a minimal hydration pack with a chest strap for my longer road rides that has space for nibbles / phone and jacket, this is perfect. Since it's a kids pack the color selection is pretty bright. One addition I did was purchased a magnetic clip adaptor from REI so I can have the mouth piece easily accessible on the chest strap and not dangling about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainMama from The CUTEST functional kids' backpack ever!! I bought this for my 2 year old daughter, who is just starting to hold her own on hikes. It's adjustable enough that, even though it's still a little big, she can carry it comfortably with water in it. The pockets are just right for a jacket, snack and a few other little things to go on a day hike. She loves it, and I think we'll get a several years out of it before it's outgrown!
