Amazing Lightweight Pack considering all the compartments
I recently used this backpack on a trip to Japan, where I didn't have a lot of carry on allowance, so had to pack light. I loved the many compartments, like the one for the water bladder which I used for my small Macbook (with padded protector) and the front compartments in the shoulder straps. The shoulder strap pockets are great to hold a GoPro with small tripod, a GPS, phone, and Wifi-Gateway/Modem which I used a lot in Japan. I recommend getting a few Nite Ize G-Series Carabiner Size 2 or 3. The side pockets hold a 1L Waterbottle plus small umbrella per side. I wouldn't squeeze 2 water bottles in the side pockets. The inside of the backpack has nice additional mesh pockets, which are great to organize cables, power bank, flashlight etc. I used some seat to summit and lightweight pack sacks to organize pullover and Jacket for the flight. The hip belt pockets are my go to place for sun screen stick and charging cables. The only thing I wished is for a larger loop at the top of the pack as grip. The small red loop is really only a hanger, but not nice to grab with more than two fingers fitting through the loop, so a bit weird to hold the pack. Other than that, I'd buy it again (bought it on sale for half price). I also bought the standard black version for my brother as gift, which I think is the same quality feel and functionality. Just comes with another type of water bladder. The sail cloth material of the limited edition feels a little bit more water proof, which turned out to be useful during my trip. But with the included rain cover this pack feels like a perfect choice.

Options: drenched gear or hot drink take your pick.
This is my 6th camel… Admittedly I have always used a MULE but we took up hiking so I needed a bit more space. Let’s start with not as pictured…. The color is much lighter and has a crosshatch pattern but really that is a non-issue for me. The pros: super comfortable, loads and loads and even more loads of pockets to keep everything organized. Even has a an integrated whistle. The backpack area is also very roomy and zips down all the way on both sides so that you can pack it well. The bag is very easy to wipe down even when the dreaded clay is involved. I haven’t measured it out but there is definitely more room in the bladder side if you need to size up to a 3L. The cons: One handed opening? Um impossible. Took two of to tug and pull to open the bladder. Added ice and water and went on our merry way. Lots of the neat features are gone. No magnetic clip. No bite valve cover. The real clincher was when we sat down on a hot summer Florida day to have a snack and take in the view. Whelp the sweat (condensation) from the bladder soaked everything in the main compartment. And that’s when I realized I wasn’t sweating up as much of a storm as I thought. The condensation was also dripping down the drain “hole” on the pack. We inspected the bladder and it was still “full” (minus the volume reduced by melted ice). I wish I could post pictures…. In conclusion great backpack; horrible hydration pack. Would have to spend another $75-$100 to retrofit to an insulated bladder, hose, magnet, cover.
