The ThermoBak S3L offers the same features and functionality that warfighters have come to trust in the ThermoBak 3L, but in a new design that optimizes the space on a users back and won't interfere with a duty belt. The 3L, 100oz Mil Spec Crux reservoir delivers 25% more water per sip and the external fill allows quick access to the reservoir for refilling and cleaning.

  • Fits a broad range of torsos; shorter, broader reservoir shape does not hang below beltline
  • External fill design allows easy access to the Crux™reservoir for easy filling, cleaning and ice addition
  • Two-zipper fill cover provides top or bottom of reservoir compartment entry points
  • Quick-release shoulder straps unclip for easy removal and stow away inside built-in pocket
  • Adjustable sternum strap
  • Hook-and-loop strap management
  • Six D-ring points for attaching to any armor vest or pack with MOLLE
  • Fully insulated reservoir compartment using 5 mm closed cell foam
  • Add or remove name tags and unit badges quickly with integrated hook-and-loop
  • Grommet drain holes located at bottom of main compartment
  • Uses 500D Double-rip Cordura® Fabric for the ultimate combination of strength and durability

ThermoBak 3L S 100oz Mil Spec Crux is firefighter tested
As a military firefighter, I use my ThermoBak 3L S 100oz Mil Spec Crux both as a standalone pack and as an insert to a larger backpack. Its sturdiness and reliability are unmatched. I especially appreciate the no-leak tube disconnect at the reservoir, allowing me to quickly reconfigure the product from standalone to insert use. In future versions, I would love to see a small field of Molle webbing added on the zipper flap for easy attachment of a small pouch for personal items (phone, wallet, keys).

Great dedicated hydration pack
Perfect for a standalone hydration pack. It comes with the bladder pictured below, the stitching is great and there are nice touches like a velcro space for your name and an extra outer pouch. I've used it for a few weeks, the flow switch stops water 100% and it's highly waterproof, water slides right off of the pack. It's made in the Philippines. It could use a clip to secure the unwieldy drinking tube.

Almost Complete
Great pack, bought as a uniform-compliant replacement for my old CBK Rocket. Carries high on the back, adjusts well. Needs better tube management. Tube trap, clip, etc. I bought a separate CBK magnetic tube trap, which works, however the tube trap is designed for narrower webbing. CBK should standardize the webbing for interchangeability btwn commercial and tactical products or develop tune trap for tactical products. Also, while this pack is intentionally minimal, a small pocket for keys/ID would greatly improve fucntionality.
