Not actually a bite valve
I've been a die-hard Camelbak user for more than a decade, and all I wanted the whole time was just a version that covered the bite valve when not in use. I happened to check the website and see that there is a new version that does just that! I was stoked! Ordered it without a second thought, only to realize upon receipt that it's not actually a bite valve anymore, just a perma open silicon mouthpiece. The entire point of a Camelbak bottle to me is the bite valve. I love that I can leave it "open" and it won't leak, even if it falls over and rolls around, since it's only really open when I bite down. This change completely negates the purposed of this bottle for me. Absolutely absurd decision. Skip this lid.
